Irish Olympic veteran Kevin Babington rode Shorapur to
the only clean round to claim victory in the $75,000 Devoucoux Grand Prix of Lake Placid to culminate the 47th Annual Lake Placid Horse Show.
It is the first win without a jump-off since 1999. The win, without a jump-off, marked only the second time that has happened in the Grand Prix of Lake Placid.
Jay Flynn, farrier for Kevin Babington, told professional farrier Stephen Teichman that his client had just won the Lake Placid Grand Prix Horse Show and that “Propads are fast becoming my favorite foot reorganizer.”
Exclusively manufactured by Razerhorse, Propads are a high quality polyeurethane hoof pad that act as a shock absorber with the added benefits of a patented, independent frog support.
“They provide a simple and effective way to shift the load from the walls and heels to the frog in a very natural manor,” says Teichman. “We have even used these effectively on horses that have sustained PIII fractures! Not something you would normal try, but they assisted in bringing this particular horse back to work sooner and sounder.”
Through a combination of science and technology, Razerhorse has been able to provide “a better mousetrap”. Teichman says and that Propads are a significant improvement to the hoof pad options that have previously been available to farriers.
Professional farrier Stephen Teichman has worked on the highest caliber Three-Day Eventing horses, many of which have been Olympic competitors. His clientele have taken him to the last five Olympic Games and he is heading to Rio for the 2016 Olympic games with 4 horses competing with Propads.
